Thanksgiving is a joyous time for all. But did you know there are certain things you should not feed your dog or cat? Here’s the list of food your furry family member should never eat.

Turkey skin, drippings, and gravy

Turkey twine

Turkey bones

Sage

Corn on the cob

Onion

Mushrooms

Raisins/grapes

Bread dough

Chocolate

Alcohol

Mash potatoes

Ham

Stuffing

While there is a lot your dog or cat can not have on this day, they can have carrots and well-cooked white meat. Remember your pet does not need to eat as much as a human so limit the amount they eat to what is appropriate for your pet’s size.

Keeping your dog or cat away from these Thanksgiving foods and offering them a treat will keep them happy and help you feel less guilty.

We, at Positive Paws, wish you and your family a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Feel free to reach out to us for your pet caring needs by clicking here. ( I will add the link to Leashtime page here).

Best,

We hope these tips help keep your pets safe!!

* Keep pets away from ALL candy(no chocolate or xylitol)

* Make sure pets are safely secured when trick-or-treaters are visiting

* Keep jack-o-lanterns and lit candles out of pet's reach

* DO NOT leave your pet unsupervised while wearing a costume

* Make sure your pet has Proper Indentification( tag or chip) in case they accidentally slip through door.

* Glow sticks must be kept away from pets

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!
