Meet The Staff

Hello! My name is Ilene. I was a teacher for 25 years and have been rescuing Akitas since 1994. I became a Professional Dog trainer in 2006 because of my love for animals. Later, in 2008, I opened my pet sitting business. I continue following my passion for animals by giving each client and their furry family members the best individual care around.

Hello! My name is Lynn. I am retired school teacher from Philadelphia. About a year and a half ago, Ilene asked me to cover for a dog walker , for about a month. Being a lover of dogs, I said of course! When the girl came back to work, Ilene asked me if I wanted to walk some other dogs. Having loved the experience, I said "Absolutely yes!" I've enjoyed every minute of my dog walking! The dogs have become my little friends whom I have long talks with, as well as sing to them! If you heard me sing you would ask me to please stop! LOL However, all my buddies seem to enjoy my voice! Being a dog walker has been a very joyful experience!. I'm having a great experience working with Positive Paws!

My name is Tanya, and I joined Positive Paws in 2017 because of my love for animals and because I know firsthand what it’s like as a pet parent when I must be away from my pet. I will oversee the happiness and safety of your pets and will care for your pets just as you do.  I am originally from New Hampshire but relocated to Pennsylvania more than five years ago.  I share my home with my 10 -year-old Pomeranian and Miniature Pincher mix named Rocky so I know how dependent pets can be on us as the pet parents.  I also understand how affectionate our pets can be and how they miss us even when we are only gone for 5 minutes.   I look forward to providing professional and dedicated care to your pets.

My name is Michele. I am a wife and mother of two beautiful teenage sons with severe Autism and the most lovable Beagle named Murphy.

Having two children on the Autism Spectrum has taught me extreme patience, compassion, humility, and gratitude for each day. Animals, especially dogs have been a part of my entire life and have brought utmost comfort to myself, husband and my sons. We spend every day walking our rescue Beagle. He is our world! My husband, sons and I spend all our downtime walking our dog and exploring new parks and going to farms or zoos to be around animals.

I look forward to the opportunity of opening my heart to your furry family member. It is an honor to be able to bring another animal to love into my life and to get to know all of you especially.

Hi, my name is Jodi. I have been married to my husband Greg for 20 years. We have three wonderful children and am a stay-at-home mom. We had a golden retriever for 14 years. And, recently we rescued a part Shar-pai and part flat coat retriever named Mac. Not sure who rescued whom. He is the love of our lives! I trained both of our dogs extensively. I also help friends train their dogs too. I have a true love for animals and enjoy walking and spending time with dogs. I look forward to helping you out with your furry loved ones too.

My name is Diane, and I live in Plymouth Meeting with my husband, daughter (24), son (15) and our ten pets (these cuties, plus three rabbits, two chinchillas, a white-bellied Caique, a cat and a redfoot tortoise).  After just about 35 years in corporate America, I decided to semi-retire and devote my time to what makes my soul happy – animals!  As someone who shares her life with many pets, I not only appreciate the importance of providing the best care for them but also how difficult it can be to confidently relinquish that care to someone else.  It goes without saying that no one else can love our pets the way we do, but it didn’t take long for me to open my heart to the pups I spend my days with since joining Positive Paws and care for them as I would my own.  I am grateful that my life’s path led me in this direction, and I look forward to spending time with your pet.

My name is Samantha and I recently moved to Plymouth Meeting after graduating from Oklahoma City University with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Stage Management. I am originally from Houston, and I deeply miss my dog and two cats who are still living with my family in TX. I love caring for both cats and dogs, so I’m excited to be able to do that with Positive Paws!

Hi, my name is Ryan. I was born an only child, and my best friends were my four-legged family members. My priority growing up was to be as attuned to my furry companions as possible. As we progressed through life, we developed bonds, and I collected invaluable insights. It is with these experiences and a determination for understanding that I extend an offer of friendship to every dog. I believe that every dog is an individual with their distinct personality that deserves to be recognized and respected.  Along with the wonderfully uplifting work I do with the tremendously dedicated Ilene at Positive Paws, I'm also the musical director and audio tech at a digital media production company in the Philadelphia area. In my free time, my wife and I enjoy hiking in the Wissahickon and Evansburg State Park.
